Job overview

This will be a strategic role with oversight of the operational aspects of HR.  The post-holder is required to work with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), academic and administrative staff and will also be invited to present at the Board of Trustee meetings.  The purpose of this role is to make a significant contribution to the overall strategic direction of the School to meet its future needs and educational aims and to promote an understanding of HR policy and practice across the school community. This role carries significant autonomy and will report directly to the Head Master.

This long-established and well-known preparatory school educates boys aged 3 to 13 (girls 3 to 4), preparing them for entrance and scholarship examinations to independent London day schools and boarding schools across the country. Re-branded in 2011, the school aims to challenge boys in their pursuit of excellence and to inspire each pupil to realise his full potential. Sport, Music and Art are encouraged to a high standard. There are many out-of-school activities, including a wide variety of holiday trips.

The main ages for entry are at three, four and seven years, with smaller entries at five and eight. There are occasional vacancies at other ages.
