Working at Mount St. Mary’s College/Barlborough Hall School in any capacity is a privilege. It is a special community with a proud history and a bright future, where staff and pupils work hard to achieve success and rewards.
Nestled in beautiful and spacious private grounds in the North East Derbyshire village of Spinkhill, Mount St Mary’s College is an independent Jesuit day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18. Barlborough Hall School, a leading independent Nursery and Prep School, sits in beautiful tranquil surroundings, an ideal environment where children feel safe and happy. The staff are a community who are genuine in their commitment to the needs of the students and the School as a whole.
We are seeking to appoint a HR Generalist to join our busy HR team, to assist the Head of HR in providing a professional, cost effective and highly functioning HR facility which supports the School’s leadership teams in the achievement of overall business objectives.
You will be responsible for a varied and fast-paced workload including project and casework, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, providing a complete recruitment service for managers, developing and delivering induction and training programmes and taking the lead in supporting and advising mangers through attendance, performance, grievance and disciplinary issues.
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of working in a HR generalist capacity. You must be qualified to CIPD Level 7 with an up to date knowledge of Employment Law. Strong team working and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a standalone capacity and prioritise a varied workload.
This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of our vibrant co-educational day and boarding schools in the Jesuit tradition, catering for the needs of children aged 3-18 from all denominations in a truly ecumenical and happy environment. The School values diversity and strives to promote equality at all levels, including its employees, students and customers. Applications are welcome from all sections of the Community.
In return, we offer a Pension Scheme, Private Healthcare Scheme, free parking and lunch, Childcare vouchers, 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
