Wood Green School is a growing, popular, 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent academic and pastoral reputation.  It has a thriving Sixth Form.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and motivated HR Officer to provide high quality administrative support for a range of human resources processes under the direction of the Strategic Finance and HR Manager.  In particular processes relating to: recruitment including safeguarding, staff attendance, payroll and contracts, ensuring staff records are accurate and maintained and supporting in the production of HR related reports. 

You will have:

• A range of Personnel, Office-based and Administrative experience

• Good general education. Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths

• Working knowledge and experience of relevant HR issues and recruitment

• Ability to develop good working knowledge of HR policies and practice and school systems

• High level administrative, secretarial and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise

• High level of ICT competence including Word/ Outlook/Excel

• Confidence working with figures

• Excellent literacy skills

• A willingness to undertake further training if necessary

Pay scale:

Grade 7 term time plus 15 days.  Actual salary range £18,967 to £20,531 (pay award pending)

The hours of work are 35 hours per week, 8.15 to 3.45 including 30 min unpaid lunch break. Term time only with 15 additional days to cover some INSET days, the remainder to be worked by arrangement during the school holidays.

Wood Green School is a mixed, comprehensive, secondary school with sixth form situated in Witney, Oxfordshire. It is an academy converter operating under The Acer Trust, which was co-founded by four Oxfordshire schools: Wood Green School, Chalgrove Primary School, Icknield Community College and Matthew Arnold School. 

Wood Green School provides 1,335 places for students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed. It converted to academy status in February 2017.
