Polaris Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to become part of our central team, based at our Trust offices located at Rastrick High School.

We are a successful Trust with a family of 1 secondary school, 3 primary schools and 1 Private Day Care Nursery in our care.

As Trust HR Manager, you will be a key member of the central services team, leading and delivering the centralised HR and payroll function for circa 350 employees, supporting all schools across the Trust. 

Reporting to the CFO, working closely with the wider executive team and Heads of school, you will take responsibility for developing robust and innovative HR processes and procedures, to deliver an efficient HR service across multiple sites. 

You will support the executive leadership team, guiding them on people issues, and offering expert advice on improving, implementing, and driving the Trust’s strategic goals.

You will be passionate about supporting all employees to be the best they can be, providing coaching and mentoring support to our leaders. Ensuring the HR function provides an excellent service to benefit all schools and employees across the Trust. 

To succeed in this fast-paced and exciting role, you will have extensive HR experience at a senior management level from a multi-site background, ideally gained within the Education sector. Knowledge and experience of TUPE as well as a strong working understanding of employment law will be advantageous, alongside a methodical and organised approach. You will be a confident and articulate communicator, with strong IT skills and highly experienced in utilising and developing HR software, systems and procedures.

Rastrick High School is a large mixed gender school with Academy status situated in Calderdale, neighboured by the towns of Brighouse and Elland in the heart of West Yorkshire, close to Junction 25 of the M62 meaning we are just 25 minutes from Leeds and only 35 minutes from Manchester.
