The Role

Vision For Education are seeking to appoint a talented, committed and enthusiastic teacher of ICT to teach across KS3 & KS4.  This professional needs to be flexible and fully committed to engaging and maximising the achievement for pupils with Special Educational Needs.  This post would suit a teacher who currently works in mainstream education and has experience of working with SEN pupils and those already working in within SEN provisions.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, experienced or newly qualified teacher who wishes to work in a dynamic environment where the school are striving to raise standards across all key stages. NQTs are well supported and developed by the school. There are opportunities to take on extra responsibility for a suitably experienced candidate. The selected candidate will report into the Deputy Principal/Head of Education.

The School

This is an outstanding residential and day SEMH Specialist SEN School for boys 5 – 18 with a local, regional and national reputation for innovation and successful practice.  An excellent training and support package will be available for the successful candidate.

The school was set up to offer educational support for boys and young men who were unable to learn in mainstream education.

The school prides itself in the strong relationships between students and staff that have enabled the cohort to become outstanding citizens that they are truly proud of.

The staff team at the school are a tight-knit, friendly and very supportive team.  The staff team work hard to achieve outstanding outcomes with our pupils.  The school site is a marvelous environment which enables purposeful teaching and learning to take place in every subject across the school.

The school works with a maximum of eight to a class group, taught by subject specialists. Through team teaching and the use of assistants, it is usual for the ratio of pupils to adults to be less than four to one.

•  Fully qualified to teach through the secondary range for Key Stages 3
   and 4.

•  Actively engage with performance improvement and undertake
