We wish to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to provide support to learners within the ILH to ensure work is completed to the best possible standard to aid in the safeguarding against students missing out on essential learning when they are missing from the class. The successful candidate will also know how to build relationships with these students, teaching them emotional intelligence, awareness, resilience and repentance, ensuring they are fit to go back to lessons and make a fresh start with staff. The job will also require you to assist with the successful integration of students who are new to the school. All new starters do a ‘transition’ week or two in the ILH, so baseline assessments can be completed and students can be made aware of our expectations.

About Lostock High School
Lostock College is a mixed, secondary modern, Christian secondary school without sixth form situated in Stretford, Manchester. It is a community state school, operating under the Diocese of Manchester in an area with a large amount of selective grammar schools. Affiliated to two teaching alliances, the school works closely with Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Loreto Grammar School. A smaller than average-sized secondary, it will provide 740 places for students aged 11-16, when fully subscribed.
