We are seeking to recruit skilled and enthusiastic HLTAs to join our dedicated Inclusion Curriculum team at The Roundhouse, Ilkeston and Broomfield Hall Campus. We are passionate about Preparation for Adulthood and about ensuring that young people with complex needs develop the skills and confidence for increasingly independent lives. We are looking for HLTAs who share this motivation and are fully committed to inclusive practice.
Our full-time students are aged from 16-25 and follow personalised learning programmes including embedding English and maths, social skills, life skills, work skills and personal development. HLTAs provide a range of support across our curriculum and also throughout unstructured times of the day.
We would welcome applications from individuals with the relevant experience and who are already HLTA qualified or currently working towards their level 4 HLTA qualification.
About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
