We offer a truly engaging global education for students aged 2 – 14 years nestled in the heart of the iconic East Village, New York. Our school is dynamic, creative, based around a strong community of 120 students accommodated over five floors of our school, and with a strong ambition to grow over the next few years. Enrolment is selective, based on the student’s ability to access our international curriculum and families wishing to align with our international ethos, with children from over 35 countries currently enrolled in our school.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity to play a major role in this truly amazing and unique school in the heart of New York City. The Inclusion Lead is given significant autonomy to oversee and lead their portfolio of responsibilities, including ensuring the effective identification of students requiring additional support, one to one student support where necessary and the dissemination and training of staff to enhance the effectiveness of pedagogical practice.

Although responsibilities will be negotiable in accordance with the strengths of the successful candidate, a typical outline of such duties may include:

  • Developing and further embedding the school’s Inclusion Policy
  • Providing individual support for students as required
  • Lead staff training to enhance pedological practice
  • Be a proactive member of the Student Progress Review team
  • Keep up to date with latest educational practice in the field of special educational needs
  • Liaise with external agencies as required, attend and provide effective input into multi disciplinary meetings
  • Ensure effective communication between staff and parents for students reciving additional support
  • Provide support in the report writing process


Candidates are encouraged to highlight any relevant experience as well as express any particular areas of interest. There is likely to be a teaching commitment in addition to the above, reflective of the small nature of the school, and so candidates must be prepared and able to meet the simultaneous demands of teaching and leading the school. The Inclusion Lead will deliver an adapted UK National and International Curriculum. Please clearly state which subjects you are able to teach and to what level.
