BSix is seeking a person to assist in the administration and support of students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). You will lead on the creation of medical care plans, creating risk assessments in respect of students’ mobility and medical needs and you will advise tutors and other staff on how to support the needs of SEND students. You will provide direct support to students when they visit the Inclusive Support room. Your communication skills will need to be good as you will liaise with College staff, external support agency staff, parents and of course with the students themselves. This will be a challenging, but very rewarding role and every day you will be able to see the impact of your efforts on the education and lives of our students. Staff across the college share a strong commitment to its values and aspirations and are ambitious to build on significant recent improvements in student achievement and the wider quality of education we provide.
