Your Opportunity

We are ideally seeking an experienced subject matter expert on data protection, information governance and privacy, who would like to use this expertise to support our schools. The Information Governance Officer (IGO) will be the designated Data Protection Officer for the Trust, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and working closely with the Chief Information Officer.

The key objective of the role will be to ensure compliance with UK Data Protection legislation and the Freedom of Information act, developing training, guidance, systems and monitoring to deliver this. 

We are looking to recruit for a minimum of 25 hours per week and have flexibility to offer a term-time or an all-year round contract. We can offer flexible working arrangements including staggered start times and finishes, hybrid working, compressed hours. Please indicate in your supporting statement (within the application form) your preferred working pattern. This post can be based at any of our Trust offices (Crawley, Caterham, Banstead, Camberley or Banbury). 

We are also interested in hearing from candidates have experience of working with school data and systems and would be willing to undertake training to fulfil this role.
