Finham Park School is the Lead School in the recently established Finham Park Multi Academy Trust. Primary and secondary schools in Finham Park MAT set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all. Finham Park School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2015, for the second time. It is a Specialist College in Mathematics & Computing, a National Support School, and Leading Edge School. It is highly over-subscribed with a Sixth Form of over 300 students. We have recently become a “World Class” school – a place where all our students develop a love of “learning for life”. 

The Governors are seeking to appoint a graduate to each of the three core subjects. The successful candidate will have determination and a passion for education and will work with selected pupils on targeted interventions to help them reach their full potential. Key qualities that will enable post holders to be successful are the ability to motivate and encourage children to learn, excellent communication skills, able to deal with behavioural issues and to monitor progress of pupils. 

The Mathematics department is one of the biggest departments in the school and is highly regarded and successful. The department offers a wide range of courses to the students from Entry Level Mathematics to A Level Further Mathematics, as well as experiences to promote a love of the subject. We collaborate with MEI, FMSP, UKMT as well as organisations such as Coventry Building Society and Urban Decay to ensure every child finds an avenue through which to relate to the subject. Finham Park has a team of outstanding Mathematics teachers and an ethos of support and collaboration; one of the Mathematics departments strongest selling points is how supportive the team members are towards each other, sharing good practice as well as challenges. Our status as Specialist Mathematics and Computing College has enabled us to develop our own practice as well as helping colleagues in the local area. The department has a wealth of experience and this post would suit a dynamic and enthusiastic graduate looking to become a teacher in the near future.
