IT Technician

Bohunt Horsham, part of Bohunt Education Trust (BET), is looking to appoint a student-centred, dynamic and innovative individual to help shape and ensure the success of our school. IT plays an important role across the Bohunt Education Trust in terms of both support, network and curriculum. We are looking for candidates who would relish the opportunity to lead on establishing the IT infrastructure of our new, purpose built school. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new school and work within a successful, multi-academy trust and a chance to add something really impressive to your CV.
Including, but are not limited to: help maintaining the IT infrastructure and delivering effective service, support and solutions to staff and students of Bohunt Horsham. Working as part of a small, new school you will be willing to step in and support with projects outside your area of responsibility/experience when needed and will be working closely with the IT solution provider delivering IT to the new, purpose-built school currently under construction.
As an integral and highly valued part of the school you will be customer-centric, proactive and, where necessary, re-active, in order to support the continuous and smooth running of the IT systems within the school. You will be competent in diagnosing and resolving issues and able to work on your own initiative. You will add value by your methodical yet creative approach to problem-solving, task prioritisation as well as a calm and diplomatic approach to situations.
You will be required to set-up IT/AVA facilities for assemblies, exams and other occasions as needed, so a flexible and positive can-do approach towards all school staff and students is essential. Working knowledge and experience of network systems/fundamentals, trends and server administration is required and IT experience in the education sector would be advantageous.
Bohunt Horsham is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
