The British Schools, a private, coeducational, non-profit and non-denominational day school with approximately 1400 students and more than 250 staff members, is seeking teachers for the start of the 2022 school year. 

The British Schools aims to provide a bilingual education which combines the Uruguayan national curriculum with a strong English language international programme. We are one of the founding members of the IB, authorised for the PYP and Diploma programmes, and a member of LAHC. 

The School offers an exciting academic environment in which all members of the community strive to instil a love of learning and to prepare students to meet the challenges of the 21st century. There is a strong extra-curricular programme, especially in sport and the arts. 

We are seeking teachers for the following positions:

Junior School Classroom Teachers

Applications from teaching couples would be very welcome.  

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:

  • A first degree and/or teaching qualification  
  • Ideally, experience with the IB PYP programmes
  • Experience and desire to seek innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills  
  • Fluent English
  • Interest in developing the use of IT in classroom teaching

The conditions of the contract will be competitive in terms of remuneration, benefits, full health coverage and housing.
