Broughton Anglican College is the leading Pre Kinder to Year 12 Independent School in the Macarthur region and provides exceptional educational opportunities to more than 1,000 students. Staff enjoy an innovative teaching environment with supportive peers, students and parents / carers.

This position is a twelve (12) month appointment replacing a member of staff who has been seconded to another position for the 2020 academic year.

Junior School Teachers are responsible for curriculum and student wellbeing matters relating to the overall development of students within their class.

As the College is a child safe organisation, the successful candidate will be required to provide their current NSW Working With Children Check number and date of birth so that the College can verify that the candidate is permitted to teach in NSW schools, as required by Child Protection legislation.

The successful candidate is expected to provide evidence that they are a financial member of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and that their accreditation is current.

The position will commence at the start of the 2020 academic year.

About Broughton Anglican College

Broughton Anglican College is a Coeducational Pre Kinder to Year 12, non-selective, independent, school in New South Wales. Serving students from the age of 4-18, Broughton is located in Menangle Park between Camden and Campbelltown and just 5 minutes from Macarthur Square Shopping Centre.

Broughton Anglican College was founded in 1986. It expanded with a Junior School in 1997 and became a P-12 school after the Preparatory School opened in 1998. It is today considered as one of the leading schools in the Macarthur region.

Facilities 

Across the Junior and Senior Schools, there are a wide range of modern learning facilities. These include a multi-million dollar Information Resource Centre featuring networked computers, study spaces and a wide range of books. There is also a commercial kitchen complete with ovens, a coffee machine and a cool room, used by the school's hospitality students. Music rooms, science laboratories and a graphics room with 3D modelling software, along with sports courts and playing areas for the younger students can also be found. 

Curriculum

The College offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to inspire students to reach their full potential while learning the core skills and knowledge needed to excel at each stage of their education. Support is available for pupils identified with learning difficulties, with the particular needs of the individual addressed and catered for by dedicated staff. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests outside of the classroom, with clubs on offer ranging from swimming, art, tennis, dance, robotics, science, band, ensembles and choirs.
