Junior School Teacher, KS2
Required for September 2019
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Silcoates, a successful independent co-educational day school with a long and proud history. We achieve excellent academic results and offer a broad and stimulating variety of co-curricular activities. We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join our friendly Junior School team, in the role of Junior School Teacher for our KS2 pupils.
The School is set in 50 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.
You will be an inspirational and outstanding classroom teacher combining academic rigour with opportunities for all pupils. You should be able to demonstrate extensive experience relevant to this age and have a knowledge and understanding of the current educational agenda.
Focussed on academic excellence, you will be part of a team who will oversee whole school curriculum development, maximise pupil progress and contribute to the stimulating academic environment, whilst seeking to improve the quality of teaching and learning. The Junior School continues to change and the successful candidate must be excited about playing a part in the next stage of its development.
In addition, an ability to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school is essential.
