A school where individuality and creativity is encouraged and success celebrated.

Church Hill Middle School is unique in that it successfully provides a creative and engaging Primary curriculum in Years 5 and 6 where pupils have a real voice in their learning.  As pupils grow and develop during their time in the school, they gain the essential skills and tools during Year 7 and 8 that ensure they are ready to move confidently on to high school.

At Church Hill we value individuality and strive to ensure that pupils feel happy, safe and secure and are empowered to realise their aspirations in a caring and nurturing environment.

It is a place that is exciting and stimulating in which pupils are keen to work hard. We have developed a climate where achievement and excellence are celebrated and where pupils believe that, with practice, they will be the very best they can be.

Unlocking learning through creativity, highly skilled specialist teachers and continuous challenge.

Pupils are taught the knowledge and mindsets to achieve success. We prepare pupils for life's challenges by teaching them the skills, knowledge and attributes through providing experiences which enable them to take responsibility for how they develop as learners.

At Church Hill we are proud of how we work together as a learning community. Pupils continue to develop their curiosity and are motivated to immerse themselves in learning.

In Upper Key Stage 2, pupils are mainly taught by their class teachers but also benefit from the subject specialist teachers and resources in the school. While in Key Stage 3, students continue with a broad and balanced curriculum delivered by subject specialists.

Pupils are challenged at all levels, ensuring they are fully engaged in their learning and they achieve well.

Positive partnerships between parents, staff, governors and pupils play a vital role in our successful learning outcomes.

Parents are encouraged to become fully involved in the life of the school.

Our highly skilled and dedicated staff provide so many opportunities for pupils to take part in activities outside of their lessons and as a Children's University, we value all learning and celebrate the commitment of pupils who take part in these. We want pupils to make the most of what is on offer to them.

We are proud of the relationships that pupils and students develop with each other and members of staff.

Pupils are provided with a wide variety of experiences.

The curriculum offers opportunities for pupils to have many varied experiences both in lessons and in the extra-curricular provision at 􀀍he school. The sense of self-fulfilment for pupils and students through pursuing their goals and celebrating the success they achieve is wonderful! Pupils are encouraged to contribute to the development of our school through gaining points for their Houses, supporting staff as prefects, as part of the Eco-team, the School and Class Councils and our Play Leaders make a great contribution at lunch times supporting their peers.

We aim to give our pupils and students as many experiences as possible. Teachers and pupils work together to plan interesting and meaningful learning. We actively encourage visitors to work with us in addition to enjoying visits including fantastic residential trips both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
