Salcombe Preparatory School is a well-established thriving Preschool and Preparatory School for children from 3 to 11 years. The school was inspected in May 2016 and was rated outstanding in all areas. Classes are small and the school maintains high academic standards. 


We are looking for a hard working, ambitious and dynamic Key Stage 2 teacher to join our enthusiastic team at this forward-looking, unique school. The school has its own art studio and kiln. 


This position offers the chance to teach Art to children in Years 3-6. You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire and challenge our pupils with a proven track record of success in raising standards and in innovative teaching. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the highest standards of pastoral care and be able to extend our children beyond the national curriculum.

History

Founded in 1918, Salcombe is a co-educational preparatory day school for children aged between 3 and 11. The school is situated on two neighbouring sites in Southgate, North London, and is served by excellent road and rail links.

Salcombe has a long tradition of success in preparing children for selective maintained and independent schools at 11+, as well as offering considerable opportunities for social, cultural and sporting activities.

Management

Salcombe Preparatory School is run by its Headteacher and her team of senior staff, who retain the school’s unique atmosphere. The Headteacher is a member of the National Association of Head Teachers and the Independent Schools Association.
