About the Position:

As a MFLTeacher at ICS you will be responsible for delivering the English National Curriculum KS3 MFL syllabus to some of our Key Stage 3 students, tracking their attainment and progress and planning to ensure all pupils make good progress whatever their start point. You may also be required to teach some Key Stage 2 French. You will work alongside other colleagues from the Mathematics  Department and from the relevant Year Group teams.

This role offers you the unique opportunity to shape the development of our growing  Languages  department as we grow from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 and the introduction of IGCSEs.

International Community School Branch 1 is centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi Island. Branch 1 is entering into its 7th year. It began as a Primary school and is slowly expanding into a through school, adding Secondary Year groups one year at a time.; Year 9 will be added for August 2019

Requirements:

Teachers should hold a Bachelor of Education Degree (or a Languages degree and PGCE or similar  in Secondary education) with at least 2 years classroom teaching experience. You will need to be able two languages (French and 1 other)  to GCSE standard.  Experience in an English National Curriculum School and of GCSE teaching  is desirable  but not essential.
