Somercotes Academy prides itself in providing career progression opportunities for staff of all levels and experience. A number of pastoral and curriculum management roles are currently held by former NQTs, who began their teaching careers at the academy.   CPD is an integral part of our Vision, with regular training opportunities for all staff.

Our facilities

Staff benefit from a computer work room equipped with modern pc work stations and recently, a refurbishment of classrooms has included installation of new whiteboards and projectors, new teacher's workstations, new flooring, new windows and redecoration.  Investing in new facilities and resources is at the forefront of the academy's priorities.
