The Post
Wetherby School are looking for a career minded and enthusiastic Key Stage One / Two teacher to join our team from September 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, imaginative and driven teacher who works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team. Applicants will join an innovative, forward-thinking and committed team. The position would suit dynamic teachers who are able to inspire pupils of all abilities to develop their full potential. There is a possibility of a leadership position for the correct candidate.
Experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2 is essential as is a thorough up-to-date knowledge and experience of the curriculum. What is also important is your ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning, and to have the skills and maturity required to take on the Year 1, 2 or 3 teaching duties and responsibilities. Wetherby School has four forms in each year group and being a team player is vital.
The School
Wetherby School is a thriving and highly successful non-selective, independent school in Notting Hill with 360 boys, aged 2 ½ to 8. The school is heavily oversubscribed and extremely successful in securing pupils’ entry into the preparatory school of their choice. It is part of the Alpha Plus Group of schools, which is one of the country's leading educational groups.
Remuneration
The Alpha Plus Group has its own salary scale, which is above the Central London Maintained Scale. A salary at the appropriate point on the Teachers’ scale will be offered to the successful candidate and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
