Kindergarten Director and Administration

St Brigid’s Catholic Kindergarten is a charity-based kindergarten with the capacity to cater for 22 children per day. Our Queensland Approved Kindergarten focuses on educating the whole child in a hands-on, play based learning environment. About the role
This is Term Time contract position, commencing 18 January 2021 until 3 December 2021 (excluding the school holiday period). This is a combined role of the Kindergarten Director and Administration Officer with a total of 15.6HPW.  The hours will be distributed as follows:

• Director 7.6HPW
• Administration Officer 8HPW.

The successful applicant will demonstrate personal faith and a commitment to the Catholic Ethos and will have well-developed organisational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to lead the kindergarten team and build strong relationships with parents of students. 

To succeed you will need excellent computer skills with attention to detail to manage and reconcile the corporate card and will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance for the service.

Mandatory Requirements

Qualified applicants, who possess the following, are encouraged to apply:

• A minimum of a Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications)
• A Working with Children Check and eligibility for a Suitability Novice will be also required.
• Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
• A desire to serve the community of Emerald
