Mission Statement

The International School in Genoa provides students of internationally- minded families with a high quality education in the English language, from Pre-School through to the 12th Grade.

The school’s purpose is to cultivate inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end ISG is committed to producing life-long learners and global citizens in our community. Our aim is to develop all individuals to their full creative, intellectual, moral and physical potential.

The International Baccalaureate curricula provide the ideal framework in which to promote the concepts, skills and attitudes that foster this evolution and understanding. (Respect – Responsibility – Reaching for Excellence)

The language and culture of the local Italian community offer rich resources to compliment and support our philosophy of bilingualism.

ISG sees itself as a family with every member of the school’s community fulfilling an integral and important role in the achievement of the school’s stated purpose.
