The successful candidate will support the Head of Pre-Prep and Early Years and play a key role in the development of this fast growing section of Harrow International School Shanghai. We currently offer three-form entry with the longer term goal of having four classes in each year group once the school reaches peak capacity. Teachers are ably supported by a team of TA’s.

Harrow School Shanghai is a co-educational day school for students aged from 18 months to 18 years. The teaching is based upon the EYFS Framework and the English National Curriculum, culminating in IGCSEs for Years 10 and 11 and A levels within the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13). Harrow Shanghai was the fourth international school in the Harrow family of schools, initially joining those in Bangkok, Beijing and Hong Kong, alongside the historic Harrow School and its near-neighbour, John Lyon School, in London. There are now 12 AISL Harrow schools: Shenzhen, Chongqing, Nanning, Haikou, Zhuhai and the Hong Kong Children's School in China and Appi in Japan.
The School is organised as follows:
- Early Years -Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception
- Primary -Years 1- 5
- Upper School -Years 6- 13
The School combines elements of educational philosophy, practice and traditions from Harrow School in London within an international context. It is envisaged that the School will eventually grow to a roll of approximately 950. As with the other Harrow Schools, Shanghai’s vision, 'Educational Excellence for Life and Leadership', is realised by means of a characteristically Harrow approach to schooling which demands of students and teachers high academic attainment, involvement in a rich array of extra-curricular activities, and engagement in high quality pastoral support structures, particularly the House system. Students are assigned into Houses where their which their academic and all-round well-being is monitored, nurtured and supported.
