Working Pattern: Teachers’ Pay & Conditions.  Directed hours 32.5 hours per week, 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday

St Dominic’s School is a special school in Godalming, Surrey, and stands in 56 acres of wooded grounds with ample space for outdoor learning activities. The school provides for 150 pupils and students between the ages of 7 – 19, who have a range of academic abilities and complex needs and with a primary diagnosis of speech language and communication needs and/or autistic spectrum conditions.

The school is the national lead in the ‘blended’ approach to teaching and learning and holds the Advanced Autism Accreditation and the prestigious Arts Council ‘Artsmark’ Silver Award.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is able to deliver a primary style model of teaching and learning to Key Stage 2 & 3 pupils with a range of needs.  Candidates must be able to convey core subjects and topic-based learning to pupils who have a range of abilities and monitor and assess to ensure the best possible progress. The successful candidate will have a commitment to developing outstanding practice and the desire and drive to improve educational outcomes and life chances for our very special pupils.

Applications are welcome from qualified primary teachers, preferably with experience in KS2/3 who have the ability to think creatively and are resilient and motivated by challenges.  Experience of working within a SEN setting is desirable but not essential.
