Elfrida Primary School is a co-educational primary school located in Lewisham, south London. With around 400 students aged 4-11, Elfrida is larger than the average primary school and as such plays an important role in the local community. The school has a large and diverse catchment area, both economically and socially, a fact proudly reflected in the school’s student intake.

Values and Vision

Elfrida Primary School takes great pride in its diversity, working hard to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met, regardless of background. Outside the classroom, Elfrida Primary School runs numerous after-school clubs and extra-curricular activities, as well as a breakfast club. The school awards children with weekly certificates in order to best recognise those who have worked hard or have had outstanding academic achievement. The school also works hard to foster a strong sense of community among its pupils, encouraging them to have respect for themselves and others.

Ofsted

“The good monitoring system shows that all pupils are currently making good progress from their individual starting points. All year groups are on track to make at least expected progress, with a high proportion predicted to make more than expected progress. The higher than average number of pupils who benefit from pupil premium funding do well at this school, achieving as well as other pupils in the school and nationally.”
