Our small and friendly team at Stoke by Nayland have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated KS2 Primary Teacher to join the team. The role is offering full time hours, and the potential to take on additional leadership responsibilities. You will continue to inspire and enthuse our Key Stage 2 students to achieve at the highest levels whilst supporting the development of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• To have an up to date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which you work.

• Creating a climate for learning that is conducive for excellent practice

• Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives 

• Differentiating to provide support for students with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) and challenge for those who are gifted and talented

• Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest

• Developing approaches to Self-Directed Learning and use technology to support learning

• Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest

• Produce reports for parents in line with the school calendar

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work

• Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and set an outstanding example to stakeholders through personal and professional conduct

You will:

• Be highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner

• Have an up to date knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment framework

• Be an experienced teacher with excellent classroom management skills

• Previous experience with leadership responsibilities would be highly advantageous

• Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn

• Committed to improving the life chances of every child 

• Respect the school’s Ethos and Values
