Job overview
As Executive Principal, I am incredibly proud to lead a team of dedicated colleagues across our 13 vibrant Outwood Primary Academies. We are united by a shared passion: to ignite a love of learning in every child and lay the foundations for a lifetime of success.
In our Primary schools, we nurture young minds and foster a joy of discovery through a vibrant and engaging curriculum. We champion a playful approach to learning, where curiosity, creativity, and collaboration are celebrated, and we hold high expectations for every child, providing tailored support and guidance to help them flourish.
Our dedicated team goes above and beyond to make a difference, creating calm and supportive learning environments where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to explore their potential. We are driven by innovation and ambition, constantly seeking new and better ways to inspire our pupils.
Our Outwood Primary Academies are not just focused on academic outcomes; we're committed to developing well-rounded individuals who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive. We foster resilience, independence, and a love of learning that will stay with our pupils throughout their lives.
We are a close-knit family team, working together to achieve amazing things. We deeply value the importance of community and family, and we have a dedicated strategy to ensure that these relationships are embedded within our schools.
If you're a passionate and dedicated educator who believes in the power of primary education to shape young lives, we invite you to join our Outwood family. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to our team, and together, we'll make a lasting difference in the lives of our children.
As a Key Stage 2 teacher working within our family of schools, you will support children aged 7-11 in developing deeper knowledge and critical thinking through a broad and balanced curriculum, fostering independence, resilience, and a love for learning in preparation for secondary education.
In joining our family of schools, you will be appointed to a school within a local area (see below) and we will work with you to offer deployment to a school that is suitable for you geographically, and that matches your skillset, development and the needs of the school. This brings opportunity and flexibility should you wish to consider working in other schools that bring different challenges and experiences to further develop your practice and input to a wider community. Deployments will always be in consultation and for full academic years unless in exceptional circumstances.
The localities are:
- Wakefield ‘Central’ (OPA Ledger Lane, Lofthouse Gate, Kirkhamgate, Park Hill, Greenhill)
- Wakefield ‘South’, Barnsley, Doncaster (OPA Bell Lane, Newstead Green, Littleworth Grange, Darfield and Woodlands)
- North (OPA Greystone, OPA Alne)
- East (Outwood Junior Academy Brumby)
Location: This position is available within our Wakefield ‘South’ area (deployment for 25/26 will be OPA Bell Lane)
