Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a local primary school in the Newcastle area. This is a long-term supply Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) role, which will commence in September 2020 and continue for one term.

Working as part of a dynamic Key Stage 2 team, the successful Teaching Assistant (TA) will focus on delivering specialised one to one support to a child in Year 3 with challenging behaviour. This will be a full-time role, working 08:30 – 15:30 each day. The role will focus on working closely with the child to help them access the curriculum and support the child with daily tasks. The successful candidate will be working with the SENDCo to ensure the best possible provision for the child.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification and experience of delivering one to one support in Key Stage 2 (KS2).

This larger than average sized primary, which is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted has a solid senior leadership team who ensure pupils feel very safe in school. Within this school, pupils are highly motivated and have very positive attitudes to their work. They are very thoughtful and show great consideration for one another and the adults in school.

Requirements

To be considered for the Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) position, you will:

• Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare.

• Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 2 environment.

• Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

• Ideally have experience delivering occasional one to one support.
