A fantastic opportunity for an innovative, creative, courageous and resilient KS3 or KS4 Group Leader and Teacher to grow and thrive in a unique special school in an ethnically diverse inner-city area.
This class is for secondary pupils in either KS3 or KS4 and runs as a primary model. The teacher will have responsibility for teaching a bespoke curriculum of English, Maths, Science and PSHE. The remainder of the provision will be made up of personalised enrichment activities which directly link to the pupils’ EHC Plans and personal interests.
The successful person will be supported in post by our trust leadership which ensures our:

Eko Pathways School
Eko Pathways is a brand new purpose-built special school for children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs, with a therapeutic approach. It has places for between 77 and 112 children and young people, catering for Year 1 to Year 11.
The school’s provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs is innovative and successful (Ofsted October 2019). Ofsted graded the school good overall and noted the school has high expectations for its pupils’ education and wants them to excel beyond their lessons. We believe that our pupils need to learn, grow and thrive to be successful regardless of their starting point.

The school is part of Eko Trust family of schools, which has six schools across East London. As part of a high achieving multi academy trust, we offer a high quality personalised approach to developing all staff through coaching, mentoring and both internal and external training. We also provide financial support and time off for staff development. Staff wellbeing is instrumental to our success and that’s why we provide non-contractual benefits such as the Schools Advisory Service, they offer confidential wellbeing and medical support. We are also part of the Cycle to Work Scheme.
