Job overview

Starbank is a very large school which has been growing steadily since 2010. We were originally a split-site primary school and were rated outstanding when last inspected in 2012. In 2014 we became an all-through school, introducing a new secondary intake each year since September 2014. A brand new building was opened in September 2016 which can accommodate 900 secondary students in addition to 420 of our primary pupils. The school is at about 75% capacity in secondary at present and will be full by 2019. Further career progression is available in the future therefore. We would like to appoint an outstanding teacher and leader to the role of KS3 Nurture Group leader and are looking for someone who can contribute to the progress of the SEND department, ensuring outstanding performance of this area.This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person -  If you have evidence of successful teaching in SEND in primary or secondary education and feel you have the character and moral purpose to really improve children's futures please download the further information. Starbank School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational all-through school in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 3-16. The all-through school, situated in Birmingham has approximately 890 students on record.

Starbank School became an all-through school in 2014 and is located over three sites – Starbank Road, Bierton Road and Hob Moor Road. Facilities for primary and secondary school students include a iMac suites, specialist science equipment and a Arts and Design Technology room.
