Job details
This is a unique and highly valued role within school that is required to play a full part in promoting the Catholic life of the school by inspiring the school community living out our mission as a Catholic school. The post holder will be expected to work to the National Standards for Chaplains working in schools which are divided into to the following five key areas:
1. The Chaplain as witness
2. The Chaplain as pastor
3. The Chaplain as leader
4. The Chaplain as educator
5. The Chaplain as professional

We are a voluntary-aided, 11-16, co-educational comprehensive Catholic high school in the St Helens Authority in the North West of England. There are over 900 students on roll of whom 45% are baptised Catholic, with 33% from other Christian denomination, and 22% from other faith or religious traditions.
We are proud to be a school at the heart of its community. We are a school with students who flourish as a result of the attentiveness to their needs and support given by all our staff. We are a school with students who are confident to take full responsibility for themselves and their actions and are quick to praise and celebrate the achievements of others.
