Details of the role

As a new school we are looking for a self-starter who is able to work both on their own and with a wider team to create a world class school in Bristol.  Our aim is to be a ‘+1’ school for progress, which starts on day one of week one and will be achieved by a relentless pursuit of outstanding learning.

You will be joining a small but growing team providing support to individual students who need help to become the best version of themselves. You will play a vital role, working in partnership with teachers, and the Leadership Team to ensure that SEND interventions optimise learning opportunities for identified individuals.  You will take on expertise in one area of Special Education Needs and Disability.  You will run interventions for pupils in this area and lead learning support across the school in this area.  Areas of Special Educational Needs are:

  • Physical and Sensory
  • SEMH
  • Cognition & Learning
  • Communication & Interaction

The ability to contribute to other co-curricular areas of Trinity life (e.g. Team Sports, Music, Drama, Equalities or other co-curricular activities to be agreed) will be highly desirable.

Further duties will be discussed at interview.

What you will get from Trinity Academy:

  • The chance to join a growing organisation during an extremely exciting time, with the opportunity for development.
  • Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Employees can join our cycle-to-work scheme.
  • A 24/7 employee assistance programme which provides counselling, support and advice on a wide array of areas.
  • Considerable opportunity for career development both within the school and across the Cathedral Schools Trust.
