The Boswells School is looking to appoint a talented, forward thinking and innovative Lead Practitioner in English. The role involves leading successful teaching and learning strategies in the English Skill Area as well as at a whole school level. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to our wider programme of school improvement as part of our strong Leadership Team as we make the journey towards becoming a truly great school. You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at all levels and a real commitment to the professional development of staff.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. The Boswells School has an excellent and long standing reputation for achieving high levels of academic success. We have continued to build on this and our success has continued this year with outstanding results at all levels. Our results at GCSE and A Level make us one of the highest performing non selective secondary schools in Essex. Indeed, at A Level, our results make us the highest achieving comprehensive school in the county. These results are even more impressive set against a national context of new, more challenging GCSEs and A-levels.
The school was judged to be ‘Good’ in all areas by OFSTED in February 2017 and this role is crucial to the continued progress of the school towards outstanding.
