Priory Hospital Shottsford House CAMHS education unit is a satellite provision of Priory Lyndhurst. The unit provides education to young people aged 12-18 whilst they are inpatients of the Priory Shottsford House CAMHS provision. We offer quality education for young people who are unable to access their own school for medical or psychological reasons.
Young people join us following a referral supported by medical evidence. The CAMHS education unit at Shottsford wil work closely with young people's mainstream schools and is committed to creating links to promote educational inclusion. Our role is to support, nurture, educate and enable young people to return to their home school when, and if, it is appropriate.
Each young person has a personalised timetable which includes access to both core and foundation subjects. We also offer a range of accreditation and a therapeutic curriculum. Individual tiemtables are designed to meet young people's academic needs, whilst taking account of health and emotional factors.
We work in consultation with the families / carers, medical and nursing staff. The school operates within a multi-disciplinary framework; working closely with a range of professionals including consultant doctors, mental health professionals, occupational therapists, speech therapists, fitness instructors and other agencies.

Due to expansion Priory Lyndhurst are seeking to recruit a General Teacher for our inpatient CAMHS unit based at Shottsford House in Blandford Forum.
All of the young people aged 12-18 have mental health needs and therefore they need teachers with up-to-date subject knowledge, excellent teaching practices and above all the enthusiasm, positivity, passion, energy and most importantly the resilience, to deliver engaging and bespoke lessons on our "Return to Learn" programme.
We require an experienced Lead Teacher to join the CAMHS education unit. This role requires excellent communications skills, high levels of self-motivation and the necessary drive and commitment to support our young people to achieve.
