Priory Hospital Shottsford House CAMHS education unit is a  satellite provision of Priory Lyndhurst.  The unit provides education to  young people aged 12-18 whilst they are inpatients of the Priory  Shottsford House CAMHS provision.  We offer quality education for young  people who are unable to access their own school for medical or  psychological reasons.

Young people join us following a referral supported by medical  evidence.  The CAMHS education unit at Shottsford wil work closely with  young people's mainstream schools and is committed to creating links to  promote educational inclusion.  Our role is to support, nurture, educate  and enable young people to return to their home school when, and if, it  is appropriate.

Each young person has a personalised timetable which includes access  to both core and foundation subjects.  We also offer a range of  accreditation and a therapeutic curriculum.  Individual tiemtables are  designed to meet young people's academic needs, whilst taking account of  health and emotional factors.

We work in consultation with the families / carers, medical and  nursing staff.  The school operates within a multi-disciplinary  framework; working closely with a range of professionals including  consultant doctors, mental health professionals, occupational  therapists, speech therapists, fitness instructors and other agencies.
