As a warm and inclusive community transforming the lives of young people in Letchworth, we have an opportunity for an inspirational lead teacher of business to take our students to the next level, ensure the continued success of business as a popular option at GCSE and A Level in the school and work as part of the maths, business and computing faculty.  The successful candidate will work as sole subject lead, with well-resourced facilities and enthusiastic learners. You will build on the current success of the subject to deliver innovative teaching and maintain positive outcomes for all our students. We work flexibly; part-time applications are welcome.  You will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of how children learn and a vision for the role of business in a successful curriculum
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious, with the desire to develop your skills and understanding in preparation for a middle leadership role

Fearnhill School is a mixed, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form in Hertfordshire serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Letchworth Garden City has approximately 520 students on roll.

Fearnhill School was built for Hertfordshire County Council and has facilities including a music suite, drama studio, nine fully-size teaching laboratories  and good IT provision. A sports centre is also on site, complete with a gymnasium and tennis courts.
