The Governors are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Lead Teacher of Mathematics. The post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and learning within the department, including responsibility for preparing appropriate schemes of work and leading other staff members in the department. They will be able to teach effectively at both KS3 and KS4, eventually preparing pupils for GCSE mathematics examinations and other qualifications as appropriate. The post-holder will be skilled in the planning and preparation of lessons, as well as the assessment of pupils’ work, in accordance with all school policies and procedures. The post-holder will report to the Assistant Head (Curriculum) and, ultimately, the Headmaster.
