Leader of PE and Sport

This job is an amazing opportunity for an outstanding PE teacher, who wishes to teach PE across the primary age range and who is ready to lead and manage the PE curriculum and extra-curricular provision.  The successful candidate will join the school’s senior leadership team.

Required for January 2019, a teacher who has proven experience of delivering high quality PE lessons from YR- Y6.

The successful post holder will also:

• Lead and manage an extensive range of extra-curricular sporting activities
• Sustain and develop in house sporting competitive events with the school’s house system
• Liaise and collaborate with visiting coaches
• Work collaboratively within our partnership of schools in Bradford East

Wellington established this specialist provision five years ago. The subject has achieved a high profile and high status in the eyes of pupils and parents. The current post holder is re-locating overseas, so the school wishes to appoint a teacher who has skill, expertise and passion for PE and Sport. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate to build on what has been achieved so far at Wellington and to improve the quality of learning still further.
