Job overview
We are seeking passionate and committed Learning Assistants to support pupils at the Woodvale Primary Academy.
Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. This will include working with small groups and on a one to one basis.
You should:
have a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
- be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies
- preferably have experience of working with children
- preferably have experience of using visual prompts to structure learning
Previous experience of working in a similar role or in a school setting as well as holding a First Aid certificate would be advantageous.
The Woodvale Primary Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust is a vibrant and caring school located in Northampton. It has the capacity to cater for 474 pupils from Nursery to Year 6. Both the academy and the Trust are committed to improving the life chances of pupils.
