Job overview

We are seeking a Learning Enhancement Coach to work closely with the Primary Learning Leader (PLL) and Support Teacher:Inclusive Education (ST:IE) to support Literacy and Numeracy in the classroom. The scope of work will include supporting differentiation in classrooms, coordinating our gifted and talented program, implementation of our high yield strategies and overseeing our English 100 Program.

The successful applicant will have excellent teaching and communication skills; an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers; an ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices and a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the leadership team to foster student learning and support the attainment of our Excellent Learning and Teaching Smart Goal.

Our Lady of Lourdes School was established by the Sisters of St Joseph in the southside suburb of Sunnybank in 1952. Our co-educational primary school has an approximate population of 565 students. The campus is a modern educational facility with all learning areas fully air conditioned. To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date:  Commencing January 2020

Employment Tenure:   Full Time + Fixed Term

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
