Queensmead Primary Academy is a vibrant and caring school filled with wonderful pupils and a committed and enthusiastic team who strive to provide quality experiences to enhance our pupil’s lives. We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Mentor with Cover Responsibilities to work at our fantastic Academy.
The successful post holder will be required to help with the organising and running of intervention groups across the academy and also cover classes in the absence of the Class Teacher; including unplanned absence and/or planned absence due to the allocation of PPA time. The role will include supporting in Breakfast Club.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain teaching experience and develop a wide range of skills whilst working in a friendly and supportive environment. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
· excellent communication skills
· the use of initiative
· great organisational skills
· the ability to relate to and engage with a wide range of pupils across KS1 & 2
· ability to ensure high standards in terms of achievement and behaviour.

The role is for 35 hours a week, term time only therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary. Working hours are 8am-3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch.
