35 hours per week, term time only including 5 training days (i.e. 39 weeks per academic year)

The Role

The Academy is seeking an exceptional candidate to take responsibility for the general management of its library as a resource base, and to also provide intervention support. 

What we’re looking for

Suitable candidates will therefore have a passion for literature and learning, with an in-depth knowledge of children’s literature and current information resources, and will possess the skills and confidence to be able to instruct groups of young people. We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working with young people, who possess excellent ICT skills, with the ability to access and retrieve information, maintain computerised library records and use administrative IT packages. 

The School

Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we are currently expanding further with a £10 million project set to conclude in September 2018. Rated by Ofsted in April 2015 as a good school, with many outstanding features, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to outstanding and are looking for exceptional and inspiring individuals to help us achieve this ambition.
