This position will offer an opportunity for working alongside a SENCO in a leading independent secondary school for girls.

The post offers an opportunity for a recent graduate, or part-time post graduate student to work collaboratively with the SENCO at St Paul’s School. The foci of the role is intended to be flexible so that it draws on the candidate’s interests or research within the field of neurodiversity or psychology.

The role will involve:

• 1:1 support of students across the 11 to 18 age range. E.g. acting as a mentor or providing support with organization, time management, interpersonal skills.

• Collaborating with the SENCO on overseeing a peer mentoring scheme.  This will involve small group meetings to trouble shoot issues that mentees are experiencing or to hold discussions re: recent research on a given topic.

• Collaborating with SEND students to continue to evolve teaching materials for students and staff to keep them informed about neurodiversity.

• Collaborating with the SENCO on planning for and delivering staff or parent discussion groups/workshops relating to recent research relating to SEND.

St Paul’s Girls’ School is located close to Hammersmith, with excellent transport links (zone 2).  This role benefits from term time only working, and all staff enjoy excellent free lunches daily, Bike2Work scheme and have access to the school pool and gym facilities.
