Learning Support Assistant

International British Online SchoolLambeth

The Governors at International British Online School have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join this successful and thriving School. The post holder will work in collaboration with the teaching staff to support pupils with EAL and special educational needs (SEN), with their learning and development in line with the British National Curriculum.

International British Online School (iBOS) is the world’s pioneering online secondary school, led by a group of senior leaders with years of experience in running and leading outstanding schools worldwide. Our teachers broadcast lessons from our school here in London, where lessons are delivered via live and interactive online video-links to pupils worldwide. Each teacher has an analyst available to them so that each student’s progress, attainment, and attitude towards learning is monitored during lessons. Weekly reports are available at the students’ learning dashboard, which is also accessible to parents. Performance of each student is evaluated by our school on a regular basis, using a wealth of tools and resources, to ensure that a first-class education is provided, building confident contributing members of society with a love of learning and a desire to continue into higher education.

As per the School’s safeguarding policy, once you have been invited for an interview, the school will contact your referees to obtain references prior to the interview. We will undertake an enhanced DBS check for this position. We will not let you commence until these checks, along with full medical clearance, are complete. We may also make enquiries to any of your previous employers to clarify or confirm information obtained at interview. For candidates who have spent significant time outside the UK we will make every effort to validate the information supplied on the application form and will make enquiries with police forces abroad to establish any criminal history.

All staff members are committed to the care and success of students and working in a setting where values of commitment, thirst for knowledge, concern for others and respect are shared as the core values of iBOS.

Please use "Quick Apply" on TES to apply to this position. Candidates should apply at their earliest convenience with interviews being conducted on a rolling basis. iBOS reserves the right to close the advert early if a suitable candidate is found. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, online interviews will be used during the selection process. The interviews will be carried out in the week of 18 January 2021.
