36 hours per week x 40 weeks per annum

Subject to increase after successful probation 

We wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with children with English as an Additional Language. The position would predominantly involve working with children in small groups to deliver a specific intervention programme to meet the learners’ needs. In addition some in-class support would also take place to ensure learners have the necessary literacy skills to access all areas of the curriculum.

Hornsey School for Girls is an ambitious school, and seeks like-minded, innovative individuals to join the warm and welcoming staff team. 

The successful candidate for the EAL/Literacy Learning Support Assistant post would have:

  • a      proven track record of working with pupils for whom English is an      additional language
  • A      TEFL related qualification 
  • a      friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable personality
  • the      skills to assist students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • the      ability to use own initiative
