Exceptional Learning Support Assistants create exceptional results; they transform lives and transform futures. They support pupils to achieve their full potential and become confident, resilient and compassionate individuals who can make a positive contribution to society. We believe that you should be supported too, with all the opportunities you need to develop your career and achieve your goals.

Joining our SEND team under the direct supervision of the SENCO and class teachers, you will work pro-actively with students, teachers, heads of department and the wider support team to promote student progress and achievement.

Already the country’s best performing trust for the new Progress 8 measure at KS4, the City of London Academies Trust is driven by ambition: to deliver world-class results as we combine the heritage and tradition of the City of London with creativity and innovation. We have a proven track record of school improvement, offering students an exciting curriculum and opportunities to perform, showcase their talents and experience the world of work outside of the classroom.

In this post you will play an instrumental role in school improvement, developing whole-school systems and ensuring that the school is outstanding in every category within three years. You will be working with a team whose mission it is to embed excellence in everything we do.

Meticulous attention to detail is paramount, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines. On top of this, you should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and be willing to undertake further training as required for the role.

Normal hours will be between 8.00 and 16.30. It is expected that you would be available to support certain activities outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued.

Further details are available from the school web-site. www.highgatehill.cola.org.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check will be required.

Closing date for applications midnight 20th November 2018 with interviews being held Tuesday 27th November 2018.
