LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

RECRUITED FOR April 2018

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Hatton is a large primary aged special school provision, which welcomes pupils into a safe and secure environment that allows them to learn, grow and achieve their potential. Pupils are valued and respected for who they are by a team of tolerant, approachable and highly skilled adults. We provide for pupils from the ages of 3 – 11 years with autism, social communication difficulties, speech and language needs and complex learning difficulties with associated behaviours.  Most pupils have additional learning needs. We currently have 26 classes and capacity for 191 children. We also have a well-respected outreach service which provides support for pupils with a range of needs in primary schools across the borough of Redbridge.

We have a strong commitment to developing the skills and knowledge of those who work with us, supporting families, carers and the wider school community. Staff, parents and visitors describe the school as welcoming. As a school we value teamwork, supporting one another and acknowledging everyone’s contribution. Staff strive to reach their own potential and make the most of everyone’s skills and contributions. New staff are well supported and encouraged to develop new skills.

Hatton School was rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas during its last Ofsted inspection in

February 2015.
