Are you passionate about supporting SEND students to achieve their full potential? SFX College is currently looking to recruit full-time Learning Support Assistants on a fixed term, term time only contract starting as soon as possible.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working in close liaison with students with a range of learning differences and disabilities Autism and ADHD offering in-class support, providing academic as well as social, emotional and communication support. You will also work closely with students’ parents/guardians and the College’s Additional Learning Support Team.
A graduate, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to build rapport with all stakeholders. Prior experience of supporting SEND students with Autism and ADHD in a similar educational setting is essential. In addition, you will have strong organisational skills, understanding of learning strategies, safeguarding and commitment to the welfare and safety of students.
This is a 35 hours per week over 5 days, term time only, fixed term contract until July 2021. The salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges’ NJC scale 3 (FTE £23,619) actual £20,470 per annum inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
