Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to ensure all our students fulfil their potential.

This role is supported with an Advanced Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2), which would prove hugely beneficial for candidates seeking a future in teaching.

The post is initially offered on a one year fixed term contract with the possibility of permanency in the future. The successful candidate will provide support for students as identified by the Additional Learning Team. Good levels of numeracy and literacy are required (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths).

Previous school experience and specialist qualifications are not essential, as it is more important for the successful candidate to show empathy, resilience, initiative, dedication to our students, and a good sense of humour. Training and guidance will be provided.

  • 28.5hrs per week term time only plus an additional 5 days to be made up through meetings before/after school (equivalent to 40 weeks per year)
  • Extra additional hours may be available to cover supported home learning club for interested candidates.
