We are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant at Maplewell Hall School to join us starting the Summer Term.  The successful candidate will be an integrated member of the  team, working closely with the teaching team to support the students with moderate learning difficulties across the school.

Maplewell Hall School is a highly successful and oversubscribed special school for students with moderate learning difficulties aged 11 – 19 years. At present there are 215 students on roll. 190 students within the Main School and 25 students within our Autism Provision. The stunning setting of the school situated in extensive grounds in Charnwood Forest just outside Woodhouse Eaves and is six miles from Loughborough provides an exceptional environment for young people with Autism to flourish and meet their full potential both academically and socially.

Working with our students at Maplewell is both challenging and rewarding. Our team of staff work together to develop students’ confidence, academic and practical life skills, preparing them for life after school.

This permanent post is paid on Local Scale Grade 5, £17,007 - £17,392 pro rata, 32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, £12,544 - £12,829 per annum (actual)

The post you are applying for involves working with children and young people and you will be subject to Maplewell Hall’s safer recruitment process. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
