The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with SEND and must understand and support the importance of social and emotional wellbeing, specialist language and communication skills. You will have the opportunity to work within a strong Inclusion team as well as across the school with excellent facilities and resources to use in order to help develop the students learning. 

It is desirable to have Level 1 and or 2 training in Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and communication difficulties as well as experience of working with pupils with and Speech and language needs.

Lawnswood School is a mixed, non-denominational community secondary school and sixth form for pupils aed 11-18. It is located in West Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The school, founded in its current form in 1972, has capacity for up to about 1,500 pupils. Its predecessor schools were the Leeds Modern School, a boys' grammar school, and Lawnswood High School for Girls.
